Alabama Rowing Continues Spring Season Saturday in Virginia Against Bucknell...

on 3/11/2017

      Crimson Tide Rowing:

Alabama rowing continues its spring season this weekend, racing against Bucknell at the Bison's spring training site in Dublin, Va.

Alabama and Bucknell, located in Lewisburg, Pa., will converge at Claytor Lake State Park in Dublin, Va., for a trio of Varsity 8+ races on Saturday, March 11.

The Crimson Tide will have five boats racing in three events. Cashman and RTR will race in the First Varsity 8+, Mal Moore and Tusk will race in the Second Varsity 8+ and Black Warrior, Courageous and Tenacious round out the Tide's competitors in the Third Varsity 8+.

This will be Bucknell's spring debut and the second competition of the spring for Alabama, who opened two weeks ago in Tuscaloosa against Eastern Michigan.

There, the Tide swept the Eagles in 16 separate 1,000-meter pieces on the Black Warrior River, with five of its eight boats winning at least one race.

Following this weekend, Alabama will resume competition in two weeks facing Dayton on Saturday, March 25 at 9 a.m. CT in Tuscaloosa. The regatta will serve as the Crimson Tide's senior day and its annual Power of Pink event.
