Alabama Women’s Basketball Slapped By Texas A&M, 69-48

on 2/10/2017

Crimson Tide Women's Basketball:

The Alabama women's basketball team ended its road swing with a 69-48 loss to Texas A&M Thursday night in Reed Arena.

The Crimson Tide stands at 15-9 overall and 3-8 in Southeastern Conference games, while the win lifted the Aggies to 18-6 on the season and 8-3 against league opponents.

For the game, Alabama shot 31.0 percent (18-58), while Texas A&M finished at 50.9 percent (28-55) from the floor. The Tide's bench was responsible for 30 of its points compared to just six from the Aggies.

"I didn't like the response a couple of our kids had on the defensive end and rebounding,"
added Curry. "Your shot may not always fall, but it's always the size of your heart and your energy and your effort on the boards. At the end of the day, hats off to those guys (Texas A&M). We will move forward and try and bounce back against Florida."

Alabama returns home for Sunday's matchup with the Gators, which will serve as the Tide's annual Power of Pink/Play for Kay game. Tip is slated for 1 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.
