Alabama Cruises To 5th Straight Win With Two Shutout Wins...

Crimson Tide Softball:

Alabama's 10th-ranked softball team won two more games Saturday to push its winning streak to five.

The Crimson Tide took care of Gardiner-Webb 9-0 in the first game and Texas Tech 8-0 in Game 2. It concludes the Bama Bash at 1:30 p.m. CT Sunday against UCF.

Madi Moore went the distance in Game 1 as the hosts run-ruled Gardiner Webb. The sophomore allowed just two hits in five innings as Alabama experimented with the lineup.

Carrigan Fain went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Tide. It broke things open with a six-run second inning paced by Peyton Grantham's two-RBI double. Fain's two-run double ended it in the sixth, scoring Caroline Hardy and Reagan Dykes.

Game 2 was more of a challenge. Merris Schroder was the difference with a fifth-inning RBI single that broke a scoreless tie. It ended the day with a seven-run sixth starting with Demi Turner's sixth-inning triple that scored Chandler Dare. It ended when Dare's two-run double hit the run rule.

Sydney Littlejohn pitched the first 5 2/3 to while Alexis Osorio got the win striking out the only better she faced.
