Crimson Tide Women's Basketball:

Juniors Quanetria Bolton and Meoshonti Knight chipped in 18 points each in Alabama's 93-43 victory over Alcorn State Thursday night at Coleman Coliseum.

With the win, the Crimson Tide moves to 6-0 on the season, while the loss drops the Lady Braves to 0-7.

"It's good to be able to have another opportunity to improve and grow and get better,"
said Alabama head coach Kristy Curry.

"I thought as the game went, we continued to try to improve and grow. We had some good minutes there down the stretch and some great opportunities for us tonight to get better."

Knight, who scored 12 of her 18 points from the free throw line, and Bolton were joined in double figures by fellow junior Hannah Cook, who added 13 points.

Sophomore Shaquera Wade just missed a double-double finishing with a game-high 10 rebounds and nine points, while freshman Ashley Knight recorded a season-high tying four blocks.

For the visitors, senior Brianna Luton had team highs of 11 points and four rebounds.
