Ghosts Earn Alabama Gymnastics Intrasquad Victory...

on 10/28/2016

Crimson Tide Sports:

The Ghost squad scared up a win in the annual Alabama gymnastics Ghosts and Goblins Intrasquad Thursday evening in front of a packed house in the Frances Smith Practice Facility. It was the Ghosts' first win in four years and third in the past 13.

"It was good to get our ladies out there under the lights and to let them feel some butterflies," UA head coach Dana Duckworth said. "I can't thank our fans enough for coming out at the start of fall break and cheer our ladies on. It was a tremendous atmosphere.

I especially want to thank the member of The Medalist Club, our booster organization, who were here tonight. They do so much for our program and our University."

The Ghosts, which eked (or in keeping with the Halloween theme, "eeeked") out the win by two percentage points, consisted of seniors Keely McNeer and Mary Lillian Sanders, juniors Mackenzie Brannan and Jennie Loeb, sophomores Abby Armbrecht and Jenna Bresette along with freshmen Shea Mahoney, Maddie Desch and Wynter Childers.

The Goblin mob consisted of seniors Aja Sims, Katie Bailey, Mackenzie Valentin and Amanda Jetter, juniors Kiana Winston and Nickie Guerrero, sophomores Ari Guerra and Angelina Giancroce as well as freshman Caitlin Cole
